The boost pressure regulator is installed in the vacuum hose from the wastegate valve and control the amount of air reaching it.
If the boost pressure compared to the standard set is increased by a certain amount, the boost controler must deliver very precise amount of air resulting from the difference in pressure.
Thus initiation site wastegate turbocharger is delayed and is forced to generate more boost pressure.
